The GLP's 2018-2019 Global Grant Is Approved!

The Rotary Clubs of Nueva Guatemala and North Bay are thrilled to announce that the Guatemala Literacy Project (GLP) Global Grant for the 2018-2019 Rotary year has been approved by The Rotary Foundation! Global Grant #1872362 is for a total amount of US $628,518.

This project benefits so many people in Guatemala and we couldn't do it without you, so THANK YOU for joining us in this successful effort. 

184 clubs, 21 districts, and a $114,000 match from the government of Canada contributed to this Global Grant, which will provide the gift of literacy, education, and training to more than 8,000 children and teachers in rural Guatemala. That's incredible!

While this grant will have an enormous impact, we still have more work to do if we are going to end poverty and illiteracy in Guatemala. Stay tuned for an email coming to you soon about how you can continue to support Guatemalan students during the 2019-2020 Rotary year!
