The Rotary Club of North Bay had great success with their annual Rotary Rose Days fundraising event, which concluded Monday June 19th.

The initiative has been a club staple for 50 years, and the monies raised are applied to the many charitable causes they support throughout the community including the new regional hospital children's project.

In all 2400 dozen flowers were ordered for the event to offer participants the best choice of colours and quality.

Brain Chute, Rotary spokesperson told BayToday Rotary Rose Days event is not just about money it also serves as an opportunity to get the club name out on the street and give back to the community.

40 dozen roses were donated to the nursing homes and hospital, with 10 dozen given to the Crisis Centre and Monastery.

Chute says the club is grateful to the community for once again rallying around the event and this year's tally was $9,000.
