The Ace of Spades was finally caught on the 20th and last week of the first licence on Friday, September 22nd, but not before an additional 10 tickets were pulled from the bin and the numbered envelops were opened.
 
The eventual winner of the progressive accumulating jackpot was Claude Boulet of North Bay, who pocketed $4,716.
 
The 2nd licence is now under way. 
 
Tickets for $5 each can be purchased at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23 office weekdays from 9:30 am to 5 pm; North Bay Mall (outside No Frills), Fridays from 5 to 8 pm AND Saturdays from 10:30 am to 2 pm; and in the Legion Dress Lounge from 4 to 8 pm on Fridays. The draw will take place at 8:30 pm. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.
 
The draw is being conducted by five local organizations - the Rotary Club of North Bay, Rotaract Club of North Bay-Nipissing, North Bay Lions Club, Widdifield Lions Club and Kiwanis Club of Nipissing.
 
Proceeds from the fundraiser will be going to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice, North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation, Kiwanis Music Festival, DARE Program, PADDLE Program and the Salvation Army.
