Opioid Dependence Treatment Program
Jennifer Sicard, Pharmacist Manager of Medical Pharmacy in North Bay, will be providing clarification on the “methadone clinic” confusion [Jennifer’s words] as well as give a quick overview of addiction and how the Opioid Dependence Treatment program (also previously referred to as the Methadone Maintenance Treatment program) works. Jennifer believes that there is a lot of stigma and misunderstanding around the addiction, and the program in general, and thinks a quick summary might help people to understand why the downtown core of the city is the centre of it all. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers.
The presentation is taking place during the Rotary club's weekly lunch at The Grande Event Centre (next to Cecil's Brewhouse and Kitchen).
The public are welcome to attend the presentation and also stay for lunch. Lunch is $13 per person.
