WELCOME TO
THE ROTARY CLUB OF NORTH BAY

Helping to make a difference in our community, country and around the world since 1923.

What does Rotary mean?

Well to me, as a third generation Rotarian, it means 'FUN, FELLOWSHIP AND THE ROTARY FOUNDATION' where one person can make a difference!

The Rotary Club of North Bay's main focus is to help the less fortunate specifically women and youth both locally and internationally.

Locally with fundraisers such as:
Rotary4Kids
Rotary at home TV Bingo
Nevada, Catch the Ace
Rotary Rose Day

And with the help of our Rotary Foundation we are able to fund international projects such as Literacy, Shelterbox, various other children and women's health programs.

And we have a lot of fun along the way!

So, what could it mean to you?

Well, that would be up to you!  Come join us at one of our weekly lunches at Cecil's - The Grande Event Centre, listen to our great guest speakers to find out!

Yours in Rotary,

Angela Knight van Schaayk
President 2019-2020

'North Bay's Family of Rotary' - the Rotary Clubs of North Bay and North Bay-Nipissing, have been working closely with City of North staff on this exciting project. We are pleased to announce that, although the project is not yet fully complete, the Splash Pad opened at 10 am, Friday August 30th in time for the Labour Day Weekend. It will continue to operate daily between 10 am and 7 pm until Sunday, September 15th, weather permitting.

Worldwide, 67 million children have no access to education, and more than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. Our members support educational projects that provide technology, teacher training, vocational training teams, student meal programs, and low-cost textbooks to communities. Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy.
The Rotary Clubs of Nueva Guatemala and North Bay are thrilled to announce that the Guatemala Literacy Project (GLP) Global Grant for the 2018-2019 Rotary year has been approved by The Rotary Foundation! Global Grant #1872362 is for a total amount of US $628,518. This project benefits so many people in Guatemala and we couldn't do it without you, so THANK YOU for joining us in this successful effort.
