President Don Wheeler chaired Camp Tillicum AGM April 24, 2006

President Don Wheeler conducted the annual general meeting of North Bay's Camp Tillicum Ltd at the Rotary Club of North Bay's regular weekly meeting Monday April 24, 2006.  Secretary Bill Wood presented the minutes of the previous meeting.  Treasurer Grant Schultz gave the Treasurer's Report and elaborated on the increase in liability coverage.  Nestor Prisco drew members' attention to the substance of two new by-laws (2006-1, 2006-2) that explain the structure of the Tillicum Board and set out the procedure for electing officers at the AGM and for board positions.  All presentations received approval from the Tillicum members who voted to adopt the reports.  The nominating committee report recommended the election of John Lewis and Colin Vezina.  Both candidates received the support of the Tillicum members and will serve a 3-year term on the Tillicum Board.  In his remarks, President Wheeler informed the members that the Board had commenced work on formulating a strategic plan for the Tillicum property.  That planning process is ongoing and the results will be shared with the members at a later date.  President Wheeler invited Kim Kanmacher YMCA CEO to address the club about the summer program.  Following her remarks, Ms Kanmacher introduced an official on her staff who presented a colurful slide show that illustrated the wide variety of summer activities and leadership programs that the YMCA conducts at Camp Tillicum.  The meeting adjourned.
